Introduction
The Founder, Father Michael McGivney, "Architect" of the Columbian Order, was able to, thanks to his talent, pastoral experience, his organisational ability and his indomitable will, give it a structure based on solid elements. Those men we call Knights, what do they represent and who are they? Lay, practising Catholics who accept and choose to live according to the principles and values they have adopted! Convinced, devoted men who have a real sense of belonging! Men involved in concrete projects adapted to different realities! Men implicated in the life and the proper functioning of their respective Councils and who engage in the essential tasks set for them by their society and their community! Men who live the four principles of the Movement: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism! Men who wish their wives and their families to participate, in different ways, in Columbian life! Men grouped together in a Movement with more than a century of existence in Quebec and which perpetuates a long tradition of charitable works and activities!
